This initial service is the basis for personal style development. The output includes a bespoke blueprint for you to work from each day as you dress for work or play (or for an occasion), organise your wardrobe or shops for clothes.
The session explores your own sense of self and who you are as well as your lifestyle and the practical requirements for your clothes. The session will examine your physical assets and liabilities as well as your personality and life goals and aspirations.
The session will just involve a chat, where we discuss your likes and dislikes, your favourite colours and what you think suits you. As we get to know each other, I will document all the main discussion points and work these into your blueprint for your own unique personal style. I will provide these to you as a follow up to the session. |
Wardrobe Planning

Deep breath. It's got to be done. You will feel so much better afterwards. Building on your personal style blueprint, this session takes a long, hard look at your existing wardrobe and how this fits in with your personal style. At the end of the session you will have a de-cluttered wardrobe that reflects you and your personal style. A wardrobe in which every single item makes you feel confident and suits who you are.
You will come across forgotten treasured items, as well as abominations with the tags still on them, which will make you wonder what on earth you were thinking when you purchased the item! We will discover gaps in your wardrobe and discuss how to fill these - how best to invest your budget, no matter how limited, and how to build up a wardrobe that is more future-proof. Don't worry, this process is thorough but not ruthless! |

You now know what you need, but you don't know where to get it. Or your time is limited and you don't have the capacity to browse all the shops to find the item. Maybe you know what you want but are too intimidated to go to the boutiques that stock it. Or you are looking for something unique or vintage. Or maybe you don't quite trust yourself to get it right first time out on your own after your personal style session.
Whatever your needs or concerns, I can help. With many, many hours under my belt, trawling through the stores in the main centres and an encyclopaedic knowledge of style and fashion, I can help you find what you need in a size, shape and colour that will work for your personal style.
It is preferable to do this together, however, I can also offer this on a consignment basis and take the whole burden of shopping off your hands. I can also offer the unaccompanied shopping service on an ongoing basis, billing you as and when the service is used.
If you are able to accompany me, we will start the session off with a chat and you can outline your goals and then we can reflect on these at the end of the session over a well deserved cup of coffee.

Using the principals of the personal style consultations session and making it more generic, groups of up to 10 people can enjoy a glass of champagne and the company of their friends while at the same time discovering the beginnings of their own sense of personal style. We won't go into as much depth as the individual session, but this is an ideal time to start thinking about how you want to present yourself to the world, with your friends by your side to keep you focused and honest!
This is a great taster session for those unsure of the benefits of a personal stylist, and can always be followed up with one of the other sessions. |
Seasonal Planning and Look Book Development

For those of you for whom it is important to update your wardrobe regularly with the seasonal trends, or who prefer a once or twice a year refresh of their wardrobe and style, this session is ideal. After the ground work has been done in the other sessions, a few hours every season is all it takes to keep your style fresh and your confidence high.
During this session, all the seasonal trends from Europe, the US and South Africa, will be interpreted for your individual style requirements and items for purchase identified, within your set budget. A shopping list will be provided to you as a follow up to this session, alternatively a shopping session can be booked to complete your seasonal wardrobe.
We will go through your wardrobe and style as many outfilts as possible on you - taking photographs as we go. These will then be presented back to you in a "look book" for your reference.

Special Occasion Dressing

We all have special events to attend every so often that require a new outfit, together with all the necessary accessories, appropriate for the occasion. Sometimes it is hard to interpret your every-day personal style to suit these special events. Or we find it hard to find an outfit that is what you have in mind, at your budget.
With a minimum of 1 week's notice, I can provide you with the answer to these dilemmas. An accompanied shopping trip, combined with follow up sourcing of items on consignment, can see you in the perfect outfit, turning heads as you enter the room. |
Wedding Styling

As per the special occasion dressing service, I work with brides, grooms and their retinues - including the mothers - to style each individual to the theme and style of the wedding.
This service is designed to ensure that the bride and groom look and feel absolutely glorious on their special day, while their bridal party all reflect their style ideas, while being true to each of them individually as well. This service can also be extended beyond the retinue to include the families to ensure that everyone involved in the wedding feels comfortable, confident and in a celebratory mood. |

Every year I return to my much loved high streets of London to stock up my wardrobe, enjoy the familiar sights and visit my friends. I take in the main shopping areas, the best bargains as well as the obligatory trip down Bond Street and visits to Selfridges and Harvey Nicks. A shopping trip wouldn't be complete without a train journey out to Bicester Village in Oxfordshire to take advantage of the discounts at this charming outlet village.
This has all the benefits of the shopping service, with all the additional excitement of visiting one of the fashion capitals of the world. You will return from this shopping trip even more stylish and confident in who you are in the world. |

Personal Style Workshop

I have developed this workshop on personal styling to equip delegates interested in personal styling as a career, to evaluate and change their own style and wardrobes, understand the industry and function of personal styling, and start to seek out work experience in the field. It will not train someone to work as a stylist immediately, simply to start the journey to becoming a properly trained and professional stylist.
Subjects that will be covered include:
What is a Stylist, Psychology in Style, Fabric, Colour, Proportion, Body Shapes, Scale, Accessorising, Hair, Make-up and Glasses, Wardrobe Management, and the workshop will conclude with a practical demonstration of the course content, presented back to the workshop.
Delegates are encouraged to bring notebooks and pens as they will formulate their own working materials over the two days. There may be some opportunity for delegates who have completed this workshop, to participate in work experience with Style Guide.
