2013 Golden Globe Awards Red Carpet: Best in Black

There were A LOT of ladies who walked the red carpet in black at the 2013 Golden Globe Awards. Of course there were. It is a great default option. But just because it is black doesn't mean it has to be boring, and these ladies managed this perfectly. Starting with the magnificent Adele in Burberry. Apparently Christopher Bailey whipped this up for her last week. The hair may be a smidge overblown, but the style is timeless. Wonderfully played and congratulations. On everything.

Then there were Nicole Kidman and Kate Hudson who both wore black Alexander McQueen. Kate did it better than Nicole, but it is the best Nicole has looked in FOREVER, if you can forgive the crazy eyes that she is aiming at us. I think that both these dresses are cool and interesting and sexy and fabulous and I would have either in a heartbeat. Also, Katharine McPhee wore black Theyskens Theory and I actually think it looked amazing on her. Edgy and modern, this was very different to what all the other ladies wore and she definitely pulled it off. And it has pockets. And those shoes. Seriously good.
