2013 The Art of Elysium's HEAVEN Gala Red Carpet Best Dressed

To my mind - and it is pretty well honed as I enter my fifth straight year of red carpet blogging - Jaime King was hands down the best dressed at the 6th Annual Art of Elysium HEAVEN Gala, held this past weekend. She was wearing a stunning red Dior dress from the Raf Simons collection, with a smokey eye most of us would die for. I just think she looked sublime. LOVE.
Also looking amazing - although in a totally different way - was Kirsten Dunst in ss13 Louis Vuitton. Much more edgy and cool, this dress wouldn't have worked on most people, but Kirsten brought her special blend of busty-ice-blond-mystique to it and that fragility off-set the very stiff lines of the dress. It was magnificently 'fashion'.
And I liked that Analeigh Tipton (she was the dementedly sweet teenager stalker in Crazy Stupid Love) wore black to an event that many starlettes get all ethereal about. Not being too literal, but making the backless black lace Rafael Cennamo dress work for her, is the epitome of style.
And Ashley Madekwe just looks drop-dead stunning in this gold Naeem Khan dress of complete opulence. Again the open back mades a long-sleeve more red carpet sexy, and that lip colour is just beyond brilliant. LOVE this as well.
Then two girls did do ethereal and made it work. First there was Julianne Hough who wore printed floral silk Jenny Packham and her hair in braids - which I confess I totes adore.
And also in printed silk was Camille Belle. Who at first I thought looked 'meh' but then the whole Carolina Herrera thing grew on me and by the time it came to write this post, I loved it. Modern and traditional in one dress. Beautiful. What do you think? Who did it best?

Ooh no. I completely disagree on the last two. They look awful. Also. Side note. Your opening sentence, seriously? Modest much?

Gosh. Those first four dresses took my breath away. Magnificent!

I just realised that I have the exact same print as the LV dress that I got in Ethiopia about 7 years ago and had made into an a line dress with this print on the bottom and brown on the top. I will have to dig the dress out =)
